propane

Is anyone running a propane system on thier truck. I was thinking about doing this for a little extra power. Are there any drawbacks or things you would have done different.

There are alot cheaper ways to make power than propane. chips, or injectors. you will only get around 70 hp with it, you can get that from a ez or a smarty, and not make as much head pressure as well, or have to fill up the bottle

IMHO- Propane can make sense used to help economy (I have seen the numbers broken down before, and even figuring the cost of the propane he was ahead.)

But there are newer, more efficent ways to make power, like Brian said. There has to be a reason that the drug of choice is water/meth now, not propane.

I'm pretty sure just 1 for nos... So you would still have one empty hole.

There are several Propane kits out there. I know that the Bully Dog and MSD kits are fairly popular with guys that choose to go that route.... Still; like said before, there are better ways.

There is the Powershot 2000 and ATS as well. Many people use propane injection as a safe and effective means to increase fuel economy, torque and horsepower. With the amount of propane able to be controlled, realistic net gains of 1-3 mpg are achieved even on over the road semi trucks. There are many other ways to make power true, but most users of propane injection add it as an enhancement to their other towing or performance modifications.

Water injection is intended to lower EGT's, not to increase fuel mileage or make power. If a lot of people use it, that means a lot of vendors sell it.

Yeah, all you need is one hole in your intake for NOS. Im still thinking pretty hard about one of those *pink* swankers, but still not for sure...
