Did you check your isolator for holes?

They have been known to get holes in them and start pumping fuel straight to the guage. Which in turn is like it being plumb straight to the guage without a needle valve.

You got me...

The antifreeze/isolator is suppose to suppress the rattling needle.. At least what I've heard from others... It's hard for me to help when I've got just the needle valve system.

Any other takers?

i even know its an updated isolator. About a year ago we got a call from the guy we bought it from. Told us if we hadnt installed it yet to send back the isolators and he would send us the updated versions so we did. Maybe the isolator is to sensitive and it still needs the needle valve? cant hurt to try i guess.

That's the only thing I could suggest is put a needle valve beforte the isolator on the fuel side. This will cover you for a isolator failure and in might also help the isolator last longer... Who knows?!? But its worth a try... The valves are only 8 bucks.
