I spent some time and came up with the truck doesnt miss at top end it stays in each gear wayyyy to long and stays at the 3000+ rev limiter forever and thats why the truck cuts out or misses, beside purchasing a really good trany what could be done to shift much earlier in 3rd-4th and 5th! any ideas??????

 

There's a TV cable adjustment under the a black plastic cover to the right of your valve cover that might be need of adjustment. And your 47RE is just a 4 speed trans with lockup.

 

Is it on the drivers side or passenger side

 

I had the trany checked it has 150lbs pressure wide open and through a code #p1765 but I have a lock up switch installed and took relay out and installed jumper wire,.. And its a stock trany too
