I posted this thread on TDR and did not get a response. I hope somebody over here can help me out.

I am having a problem with my truck shifting into 3rd gear under heavy acceleration. It wants to hang in 2nd until I let off the throttle.
It works fine in normal (or tame) driving conditions.

Is this just a band adjustment or is my tranny on the way out?

 

I dont have the answer to your question but you might try calling one of the tranny builders like DTT, ATS, or Goerend.

 

It is not caused by a band adjustment.
It could be the TV cable adjustment, a valve sticking in the VB, or the gov. pressure sensor.
