2002 Transmission Shifting Problem
Need a response where to turn to next...
2002 - 3500 (two wheel drive), auto, 5.9 diesel, Dually
Transmission hangs between 1st and 2nd.
Changed Govenor seleniod (BW 50185), pressure sensor, filter, and fluid.
Still have same problem
From a stop, if you accelorate quickly, then quickly reduce throttle, it shifts into second.
Shifts from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th are perfect.
Any Ideas?
Thanks!

You don't mention miles but possibly band related. Did you adjust the bands while you were in the pan? Most tranny shops should be able to put pressure gauges on it and tell you where the problem is. Aamco always says "rebuild".

That's exactly what they do no matter what might be wrong. I know this because I know someone who was a shop foreman many, many years ago in CA. He wouldn't do it because it wasn't right and he would always say his boss said it needed rebuilt. Still didn't make it right. I would NEVER go there.
