we've had quite a bit of rain in the past week... so, i decided to check filter & it was bone dry

as far as the knock... i had a small knock... i took the heat shield off to make a notch for the A/C lines near the firewall... noticed that the heat shield had been sitting on the bolt of the shock... originally, i had ~1/2" length of fuel line as a spacer between heat shield & fender... switched to ~3/4" length and no more knock

 

Where can I get a prefilter? Anyone have anymore pictures? Should this be protected by some sort of splash guard?

 

There you go... Outerwears it works really good... I've had my BHAF since 50K miles and now got 113K miles now and still the filter is good... The filter minder is in the end of mine and it still hasn't moved... I checked the filter minder and it still works just fine...

 

Where can I get a pre-filter?
