Possible cheap high idle
I jusy copied this from TDR site and was wondering if we could install a switch inline with the ground for the apps and use as a cheap high idle feature.

I've seen that a couple times.
All the sensors share the same ground circuit. When the APPS has a bad ground connection the Rpm goes up to about 1300.
All those grounds are connected to pin 11 on the ECM.
Most likely it's the engine harness that has a problem.
A simple test could be this. Pin 1 on the APPS is the ground circuit . Try to provide a ground from the battery negative pole to that wire and see what happens. If that works well, then you could simply provide the ground to the APPS permanently from the battery. Been there, doen that....
