Pistons and Camshaft in = More pics
Got all the pistons in today except #5 because I broke the oil ring in the ring compressor I'll have a new set of rings monday for Cummins.
Also got the camshaft and lifter in.
I desided to spend alittle more money on Allen bolts for the timing cover, oil filter adaptor, and lifter cover.
Also some pics of the oil drain for the H3B .

What cam are you using? ...Why?
With the oil pan off, can you just drop the lifters in place?
Following the progress is fun! I hope you'll have someone along to take a photo of your smile the first time out!

Brandon,
I've got the PDR camshaft, I thought it wuld go well with the PDR twins.
Yes the lifter just drop in with the pan off and block upside down.

I've always wondered if it would have been easier to drop the rockers in that way. I spent the greater part of 3 hours pulling each of my new lifters into place with a funky string/rubberplug provided by Cummins and leaving the block in the truck.

My back pocket starts hurting when I think of all the parts & pieces that are going into this rebuild. I know I'll need to do the same thing, but hopefully it will be in 4-500,000 miles. Keep us posted! I love the progress!
