The options are limited for stacking with the Comp. The Comp does timing and fueling both through the data link and does extra fueling through the wiretap on the VP44. There is no way to disable the timing in the Comp, so you can only stack with another box that does not add additional timing. The Smarty is one option here, but you'll only be able to use the even numbered levels (no timing) on the Smarty.

Also, since it taps the wire on the pump, you cannot stack it with anything else that taps the wire unless you remove the wiretap from the Comp. At this point, the Comp is basically the same as an EZ and could be stacked with any other wiretap box that doesn't do timing (like the TST).

I had a comp and stacked it with a superchip which worked OK, I upgraded to a Drag comp, and tried it with the superchip which was OK also tried the Smarty with it which seemed to do about the same as the superchip. I am currently running the Drag comp with the untaped wire and a Redline box that taps the wire, it is pretty cool I run both boxes on max settings but I am pretty sure I am ringing the poor VP44 dry by the end of my pulls.

My next step is a bilt engine with a p-pump and this will be my backup engine.

If i was going to stick with a VP I would probably try an Adrenalin box just to see what it would do.

I assume you already have a good set of injectors, if not I have tried a ton of those also and recomend not cheaping out on them My best results have been with F1 injectors, from TREdiesel.com

Good luck with what ever you try, and I hope you have something else to drive when this is down.

The only thing I'd consider doing with a Comp is getting the Drag upgrade-- it doesn't need anything else, imo.

On the dyno I would kind of agree with HOHN, My power graphs almost lay over top of each other with the Drag comp and with the Redline/stack. The only Diff is that it will make almost the same power past 3800 RPM with a very flat torque curve.

I would definitely go with F1's and I loved my mach 6's they made less smoke and a ton more power than a set of dd150's I had before them. I am currently running a set of mach 8's with a 200 shot of NOS, I don't really care for the stuff but it seems to be hard to beat at the truck pulls.
