We pulled the pump off this weekend on our 1995 project truck and have some big questions. Some redneck owned this truck before we did and did some big redneck stuff to it. He pull the rod that activates the AFC. Is that bad to do? or what does that do besides smoke alot. He also took the back plate off and had to grinde some of the metal off to get the arm out and used RTV to seal it back up. we are going to get the pump tested to see what else he did to it, but i was just wanting to know what he did to it will it hurt the pump at all.

 

ive heard of guys doin similar mods. seems to me all they end up with is a pile of fuel and high egts. forestnearing mite be able to help you a little more. i know ive read a few times where he has suggested similar tactics to the afc and plate
