P-Pump work
P-Pump work
What should I have done and where should I take it? I think I have a problem with my pump and if it checks out ok im planning on having some extra work done, ie, balancing , ??. Is there anything else I should look into? I know there are a lot of shops around but im not sure where to take it.
Thanks

If you're in Evansville, I'd talk with Kolbs. We had them rebuild a pump off of one of our Deere's. They did a great job and service was quick.

I would put the plate back in (#0 or #100 and yes I know the debate) and adjust it forward. Adjust the governor arm as it is much easier to do when off of the truck (you can do this on your own before the pump goes back on. Then have them turn up the plunger/barrels to max out the fuel. Maybe convert the 3K springs to 4K. See if they can also give you the readouts on fuel levels at various rpms and at idle. May run a couple hundred when all said and done.
