ok so i was reading other threads--1999 2nd gen. 24v and i saw someone talked about a poor fuel supply design? im very new at alll this stuff. can someone explain what was wrong with the fuel supply?
second question will upgrading whatever is bad about the fuel supply decrease my mpg??

Not sure what you are talking about, but I think you have a bad case of forumitise. It is caused by reading too many posts about your truck and thinking something is wrong with your truck when it is perfectly fine. It happens to all of us.
The weak link in a "99" is the lift pump. You MUST get a fuel pressure gage to monitor the health of the lift pump. The next time your LP is getting weak upgrade the LP to an after market pump. Walbro or FASS II seems to be the favorites with good results. Other than that I have put on 206K miles on my "99" doing little else.

i think hes talking about the vp failures because of the lousy spot dodge decided to put the lift pump making it suck instead of pushing like a pump is suposed to do,and he probaly read that the early 98.5 and 99s had more vp failures than the 01 and 02s.ive read that also,not sure if theres proof on it or not,but iether way he is right,the fuel delivery system on the 2nd gens suck.
