Not Much of a Bomber

I'm not a real bomber like some of you folks, but as luck would have it my exhaust system rusted through and broke in two at the muffler. So the UPS tracking says my 4" straight pipe system should be here Monday. "Honey, it's not a frivolous expense, I have to fix the truck." Is there anything I need to watch for when I install it. Tricks? Problem areas?

Watch out for drone. The straight pipe might get annoying on a long hwy run.

There are a lot of good mufflers out there, so finding a good 4" muffler is no problem.

One more Question

Just about the time I get the 4" pipe delivered I find a Diablo Power Puck on Ebay that I pick up for $140. Now for a "non-bomber" guy like me it seemed that an extra 60HP for $140 was a good deal. Anyone know anything about these pucks? What will it do for me and what should I watch out for?

Hope I don't catch a bombing bug from hanging out here.

I think you're already starting to catch it. The 4" install is very straight forward, you should have no problems.

If you dont wanna spend cash on bombs, you better stop with the exhaust. My truck already had exhaust so I thought I would just get a small box like a va or ez. Well I now have a Smarty, and Im looking at what injectors I should get. I want ones I can use without upgrading my turbo. But after I get injectors in I will get bored and want more so I will then look at turbos, then bigger injectors, then I will have to upgrade the tranny..........I didnt wanna get crazy, but I dont see an end in sight! I'm so screwed!! But I will have a killer truck someday!

The power puck is a good little unit. I had one on my pickup for about a year. I did have any problems with it. It got a bad rap in the begining because of some problems but I like mine.
