New Water/Meth kit

After debating on building my own i broke down and got a snow stage 2 kit. So far so good. I have to try pretty hard to get the EGTs over 1500. Power might be up a touch but i could probably gain more from turning off the A/C. I suppose the dyno will tell. Defiantly helps for the long pulls on the highway

One thing i learned was, if you mount the tank higher than the injection point (IE tool box), make sure you get the upgraded solenoid. Without it it pisses off the neighbors at 5am when you fire it up with a puddle of washer fluid in the intake.

Now the question is...do I fall into the same group as the nitrous guys .

Heck, I run both, couldnt decide which drugs to deal to my truck so why not. Mine makes a 63hp gain on the dyno.

Im sure it will come to that. Ill come up 40hp short one weekend, and you know what will happen the following weekend.

First come twins, then come other things.

Dont get to hung up on running the expensive meth. The -20 washer fluid works great. One of the canadians was telling me they have -40 fluid. I am going to start running an anti-corrosive/pump lubricant in my system. Take a look at this thread.

Truck runs hot to begin with. I could hit 1500 if i pulled all the way through 6th with ease.

Towing wise, I pull 9-12K of cars on a weekly basis. It wasn't impossible to drive but i did have to keep my eye on the pyro.

With the meth empty I can still get to 1500 but thats only when i pull 3rd-6th to red line, and its not nearly as out of control as before. Towing is bliss now. Pulling some of the long medium size hills i set at 1250-1300 degrees...and thats just driving. Not trying to dog it or be nice. Big hills fun to watch as the egts will creep to 1200ish, i hit the desired boost to activate the meth (1st stage at 22psi 2nd at 32psi), and i watch it fall to 1000 and creep back up to 1300. I don't see how you can go wrong with it.

Well aside from the fact i popped my head gasket tonight. Not sure if it was due to the meth or just dumb luck.

Now you have a reason/excuse to put the twins together.

If you have another head (not o-ringed) you could try the cometic head gasket.

Yea no spare heads laying around. There has to be something out there that will hold up to my way too much timing and injection of drugs. And to think last night i was looking at putting together a nitrous kit. Maybe this is Cummins telling me "Stop screwing with a good thing, IDIOT".

What are you timed at? Maybe that would solve some problems. Very important with the nitrous.
