What about 500rwhp with a 24v that doesn't tow? A little bit of lag isn't that big of a deal. I just want to hit 500rwhp with ease... anything else is just icing on the cake.

If your gonna tow a heavy load and be in the 500rwhp, twins is the way to go. Yes, the laggy single isn't a big deal most of the time, just when you need to accellerate quickly.

62mm will do it for you. Something in the 71mm or 74mm turbine variety.

I like my 62ss but if I had a choice I would definetly go with the twins! The turbo is a tad slow to spool but once there it's a outstanding! I also think with more timing and more fuel I would like it more....

Does anyone make a turbo that would work well with my trucks set up and still be able to use my exhaust brake

Ya Hay it's all good I had to simply learn how to drive it! I mean you just can't mash it from a dead stop and expect the tires to spin! That 71 wheel is a whole differant animal than the stocker. I like it a lot now I just wish I had some bigger injectors to try! I'm on the hunt for a set of good used 435's keep your eyes open for somthing in this area of flow. Ralph

"they said it is set at the factory at 42# first time i mashed the petal mine hit 60#." I have also heard really good things about the silver bullet, that was my second choise. garret was the best price on the htts that i found. hope that helps your decision
I know that you are speaking of a 12v but my 24v has never seen over 44psi with this turbo (62/71/13ss) I have done everything to get more boost even plugging the w/g with no change, the only thing I can think of is it's not enough fuel but it seems that everyone who has this turbo has no prob hitting 50+psi I guess we will see if it's a fueling issue when I get the Mach 4.5

Using a Dodgezilla or getting your upgraded to a 35/40 are the only options I'm aware of unless you want to build a custom downpipe like Jlent.

Why can't you spin the tires off intial spool-up.
Has anybody seen the compressor map for the s300 62? What kinda off speed is compressor spinning at when your in the mid 40's for boost. I bet that your almost at the top of the map. You really need a steep compressor map with more pressure ratio to break thru into the 50psi area for a single turbocharger. Of course twins would still be pulling hard until the 80psi area with a S400 on the bottom, tons of cool air for pulling. I would also reconfigure the S300 for twins application so your spool-up would remain the same but you would still have good cool air until 70-80psi range.

I think you're right Mike, even if we have to guestimate due to a lack of published maps. The only problem with a 62/13 spinning 44 psi is that its not using that expensive wastegate thats on there.

after i put my 62/13/71 and hit 60# with it right away i emailed htt to ask them where they recomend running that charger. they told me that it is most efficent between 40-45 # but can go up to 60#. so after i get my new head on right i will turn it back down to probally 48 or 50. i havent tried the methanol with that charger but with my stock charger it brought my overall max boost up 7-10 #
