Just got my new smarty. Can anybody tell me how do I run my Edge comp With the smarty. Can I use the smarty timing and the Edge tapped to the injection pump only, or do I have to use Edge timing and tapped injection wire. Please Help

 

Smarty on even settings = fuel only. Cant use both timing programs.

 

Pluged in Smarty ,got- Warning Vin # Locked What do I do now

long story short. I had a full timer rv'r in nevada that had an obd port problem.

The first smarty did not work do to poor obd port connection. so I sent him another new smarty to verify it was not a smarty issue.

so it was confirm a truck issue and the first smarty was sent back and obvious got vin locked

This was sent out as a loaner not a new for sale as new box.

I missed the ball and did not check the lock as it was sent back by a very good member and no need to check

Oh well chit happens and I will get it unlocked from the samr guy he was as confused as he said it never powered up and obviously it did and lock

No harm or foul and life is good.

 

I'm hearing from some guys that the smarty doesn't really like the edge comp stacked. Any thoughts?

 

The smarty uses a dynamic timing program, but if you set it on the even levels and use the edge for timing you lose that feature and use the edge's timing instead.
