99 Quad Cab 4x4, 5 speed, II "Dragon Flow",
2001 QC SB AT 4X4
TST COMP+200+hp II Dragon Flows
The good news is that I think I found a common denominator in the problem.

Those injectors must be pretty wicked. Give me a day or two and we will chill out how soon the fueling comes in. Right now we can potentially start fueling at 1200rpms with as little as 10% TPS and almost no load with 1-3psi of boost.

Obviously that is a little aggressive for those injectors.

Give me a day or two to change the tuning and we will get that fixed. I will pm you to tell you a couple of things.

I know you have 2 or 3 trucks, so I am really curious to see if it does it on any of the milder trucks? I bet it is fine as so far on the stock type trucks we have not seen it happen. The throttle might be a little sensitive but, they don't shudder.

Bryan,

Don't worry there is an answer to the problem. We just are not saying much at this time. When we release it, you will be able to get the tuning you need.

Oh yeah, on the XZT box L1 is timing only so that is why there is not a fueling problem with the Dragon Flows. Should lower egt's a good but though.

Actually quad, the testing I've done on level 1 the egt's are the same if not slightly higher. I'm thinking the timing module in my VP is shot so I'm not seeing the full benefit from it. Next week I should be able to fix that problem.

And yes quad these Dragon Flows are very strong. A LOT stronger than the BD 155's I used to run.

Oh yeah! The Dragons are some serious injectors. This box feels pretty good other than the shudder. I will try it out on a truck with stock injectors & post some results soon.

Nope. Once it gets to a certain point it is doing it hits a max and that is before 100%. So it gets to XX% and basically ignores anything above that.

Don't worry about RPM's.

Blue won't run it over about 3100 cause he don't want to twist the shaft off in the auto!

Gotta get it back and flash it for him in a day or so to fix his cruising issues. I think we should have it solved now though!

I'm still trying to figure out that defueling issue on my. I tried an SO ecm and it didn't solve it. I was wondering if your box would.

So far this box is fueling to 3100 rpm. My tst/smarty combo on the dyno runs peak at 2200rpm and stay perfectly flat until 3000rpm where they drop like a brick. My truck has been acting weird on the dyno runs lately. Almost like it's hitting the speed limiter before it's really there.

that is exactly what my TST/Smarty combo is doing. Both TST and Smarty are telling their product should full fuel to 4k.

Yup. The last 3 dynos I've been on it's gone up to 2200 and flat lined till 3000 and just stopped. It's really weird. You can hear the engine pulling real hard and then suddenly it just stops pulling but keeps winding the rpms up. It's like the truck is accelerating faster than the gauges are showing but the ECM is picking up the actual rpm and pulling fuel. Doesn't make a difference what the TST is set on. All the curves mirror each other and they all make close to the same power. I'm betting mines the injection pump though. I've been losing power on the last 3 dynos no matter what I do for power upgrades.

i was told TST comp goes to 3400 and the smarty is designed only to allow stock fueling levels to 4k, so no, its not gonna be making lots of power at 4k.

my TST/smarty combo runs great to 3400, and slowly drops off.

Must be nice. Mine runs great to 2200 and then just flat lines until 3000 at which point it goes straight down.
