New injectors New problems

Just installed 100hp Jammers and the wow factor is great but heat is my new issue, engine itself got hot and EGT's crept up there pretty good, I was expecting EGT's to go up but not the engine. Looked down and guage is pegged at 240. Will different t-stat help? Bigger fan? Lighter foot? Flushed radiator last summer. Thanks for any advice

Just to give you something to compare too. I have towed pretty heavy (18,000) gross with what's in my sig. and my water temps never get above 210. When I race I barely get above 200 degree and that with egts around 1550.

Wow. Even with my EGT's pegged for a 1/8 mile my engine temp never goes over 190-200*. I'd check to make sure that coolant level is good, the fan is kicking on properly, and that the water pump is working good.

do a flush get some evans waterless while your there, get a 180' thermostat, check to make sure the puke bottle didnt fill your radiator with oily gunk. steam clean rad'. i cleaned mine and had the casting sand come out of the bottom of my rad' so i put a coolant filter on it. which has seemed to help.and the 180' thermo helps gauge flucuating and all around cooler running.

I had a similar problem with engine temps.....my radiator was filthy. It looked good looking down at it, but after taking it out of the truck....it was plugged about 70%. I pressure washed it & sprayed it with grease lightning....no more issues. Another time it was my thermostat sticking half shut.

Have you re-located your crank case breather bottle?
