New Hyper-tec Power Enhanser

HAVE USED THESE IN MY GASSERS AND THEY DID A GREAT JOB. WONDER HOW THESE ARE WORKING IN THE DIESELS?

This sounds the same as the Superchips Tuner, which I have. The problem is they don’t modify the boost limits. So when the EGTs get high (going up an incline or towing) your only out is to get off the go pedal. If you are going to get a box I would look for something that has a boost fooler built in. A little more expensive but worth it in the end.
Just my $0.02 worth.

I testing one of these for hypertech and was not impressed. Made my truck run like crap. Ya i got like 32RWHP on the dyno over stock, but cruising down the freeway would but me at like 15lbs of boost wether i was going uphill or downhill. I have tested both the hypertech and the superchips tuner and the power was about the same, but ran a lot better with the superchips. To back that up, my brother runs some big injectors and a comp box with an hx-40 and tried out the superchips tuner and saw good power gains on the dyno. He then ran the hypertech and blew his head gasket 5 minutes later just driving on the street. From what i could tell it advanced the timing way to much or something. But hey, they could have made some improvements from the one i ran.

Just installed my hypertech and took it for a test drive. I have 80 hp injectors and a boost fooler. It use to puff black out the five inch drain pipe before the tuner program....now it belches it!!! Dosen't run any hotter on the pyro makes the same 35lbs. boost but it definetley improved performance from 1500 rpm -2500rpm. But man dose it blow soot at low boost. I am gonna install a K&N soon.
It is throwing a p-1693 code..which is over boost I think. Im gonna re-post this but I don't know what to do about it. Like I said I already have a boost fooler.
