Are you talking about the TS Shift Master, or DTT Shift Enhancer? May be made by the same folks, since they both have 3 modes.

I thought the "shift master" was only for 05-up trucks. Not 04's.

If you look on their main page and go down about half way....it advertises the "TS Shift Master" as being for 05-07 Dodge Diesel trucks. http://www.tsperformance.com/

But I saw where you see the 04.5-07 trucks on the link directly to the "Shift Master" page. I think that is a typo. Even on the same page it says 05-07 in the writing there too. http://www.tsperformance.com/shift_master.html

Something changed......in 05 regarding our transmissions. Don't recall exactly what it was....but that would be the difference in why they won't work on pre 05 trucks.

I am willing to bet in 05 they went from the TV cable system to the TV Motor that controls the line pressure. But it would make sense that it could have changed in 04.5 along with the motor.

MY05 was the switch over to the TV motor and enhanced TH. Previous to that TH was OD lockout and a TV cable. Shift enhancer ONLY works on the TV motor equiped transmissions.

The 04.5 auto trucks i have seen all have the cable so the shift enhancer won't work.

Well, it definitely helps the tranny to shift better (reduced shuttle-shifting) under heavier acceleration.

If your running any extra power you will be ahead investing in one. Not that it will stop the destruction but will slow it some.

Definite improvement in the low throttle operations and the ability to stretch the shift points out when needed.
