New to the forum, could use some help

Ok, where to begin? I currently own a 02 psd 7.3, I know booo, however I'm getting ready to trade it in. I bought my father in law a 03 cummins and it has been great. We threw an edge attitude on it with a intake and exhaust and it made a world of difference. That being said I'm looking for a new truck. I'm looking at a 2000 now, however the cab is a little small and the ride is a little rough . One of the things I will miss on my F350 is the cab size. So my questions are what can I do to make the ride a little more comfortable also, I know my father in laws 03 is very quiet but not the 2000 is there anything I can do to quiet the cab noise. Thanks for the help looking forward to your help.

The 03 has a common rail injection system on it. The 2000 will have the VP44 pump. 2000 is just gonna be louder. You can try to put some insulation and matting in the cab, but it won't do a whole lot.

Thanks for the info. Do you know of any type of suspension upgrade that will help the ride and handling?

The noise I can handle it is still quieter than my current truck and the ride is about the same just wondering if there is any things I can do to make the daily driver a little more comfortable. Thanks again, I have lots of questions on upgrades and aftermarket parts.

Throw down some heat shield/acoustic material, make sure all the holes in the fire wall are plugged, and add some 2 stroke oil to the tank when you fill up. You could even wrap the valve cover and oil pan in an acoustic material. This is a kit that actually quiets the engine, I'll see if I can find the link. Let me see if I can dig it up!

Hey, mine has no silencer ring, and a straight pipe. And my windows are always down. Eventually I want a 5" pipe or stacks! I love it! Even my gasser has straight pipes!
