New AFE race filter installed....

Well I ditched the BHAF and ordered a AFE stage 1 with the 6" race filter from Garrett at www.PureDieselPower.com and boy you wanna talk about LOUD!!!!!! My little HY sings like crazy. I mean I thought my BHAF was pretty loud, but this thing puts it to shame BIG time. After installing this thing I belive my BHAF may have been a little on the restrictive side. I was little leary about buying the AFE at first but now I wish I had never even heard of the BHAF. I wanna say Thanks to Garret(Bobcat869) for the Filter also. Now I believe I'm gonna get a Outerwears for it next.

I'll post some pics tomorrow when it's day light.

Next on my list is a Suncoast TRANNY.....

Is it possible to order just the filter itself?

Was this worthwhile or did it just increase the noise?

I was curious about cutting the hole so I could get some cold air from the cowl to the filter, like the Scotty.

I've already cut the cowl hole back when I had my BHAF. Also I have the Stage 1, so my filter is just pretty much open. Trust me, this thing is LOUD. I haven't turned on my radio yet. I just listen to the turbo. Sometimes I feel as if its about to suck me through the dern firewall....

Here you go for those of you that would like a picture. I had to put some cardboard over my Filterminder hole b/c it's on my stock airbox with is at my other house in Macon.

The reason I'm going with Suncoast is because I can have it rebuilt by someone that lives close by, if the tranny is acting up I can take it to him and not have to worry about shipping it off, Jeff has a suncoast in his drag truck and all the drag trucks that I saw this weekend had suncoast trannys. I guess I'm just partial to suncoast and where the dealer is located.
