Check out the Power Slot rotors, they are better than OEM and generally can be had for about 20% less than Dodge will charge for the OEM units. Shop around for a performance discounter that carries the ones you want. Here is Power Slot's website, they have a dealer search capability: http://www.powerslot.com/

On the 4X4 the hub, wheel bearing assembly, and rotor come off as a unit. Then you drive out the wheel studs with a brass mallet to remove the rotors. If you have any mileage on the rig since the front wheel bearings were replaced, you may as well replace the front wheel bearing assemblies while you have everything apart.

Front bearing/hub assemply are about $150 each. I replaced both of mine because they were ran loose for i dont know how long by the previous owner thanks to you ever did the front brakes before I got the truck.

After you get your rotors on the new bearings make sure you tap the races back in tight with a brass hammer before you install them . Sometimes the big axle nut might not sinch them up .

I got mine from NAPA too, can't remember how much, but they wern't too bad-good quality too. This is when I found the upper ball joints bad. After the calabers were off the hub and rotor had the room to wobble the ball joints. Might want to check them out also.

For rotors, I like:

www.porterfield-brakes.com

Their pads are the best at ANY price, imo. You can get rotors from them customized as you wish-- cryoed, drilled, slotted, etc.

Not the cheapest, but VERY high quality.

The power-stops are very nice, as well.

The BEARING/HUB assemblies for my 1998 were 1100 bucks from Chrysler, found them at NAPA for about 500 for the pair!! ABS bearings are different. I used EBC slotted rotors, very nice and about 150/pair.

That's what I wanna know too! I paid about $265 each (NAPA) when I did them on my truck.

Oh, btw, I'm running powerslots on my '99. I like 'em. Think I paid under $210 shipped...
