Need new front rotors and pads
Need new front rotors and pads
I did a pad change about 40,000 miles ago, put on dura last gold pads. They ate my rotors up big time. 95% of the time my truck is unloaded and I drive easy. I've got about 5000 miles left before these pads are shot. At that point I'm going to get a replacement set from autozone since they are lifetime. I'm going to sell that new set on eBay and buy something else.
I need rotors and pads. I'd like to go with OE setup again. My original pads stopped better than the dura last pads and I had very little wear on the rotors when I had to replace the pads. Does anyone know the part numbers for OE Dodge rotors and pads? My local dealer marks up parts a huge amount. I'd rather order.
Also, anyone have a recommended online parts source for these? Thanks!

I have used this web based source (link below) many times in the past and always received great service and reduced pricing for original Mopar parts. Way less than what the dealerships charge the average Joe...Have your VIN # in hand when you call them as they can provide you with the OEM part #'s for your exact truck as well...
I assume they can ship to Canada...

I put duralast gold pads on my stock original front rotors about 55K miles ago. They were not quite worn out yet, but it was prep for a longish road trip. I think it's a moderate improvement over the stock parts.
Most of my driving is unloaded, with a lot of local driving. I only tow a light trailer. So far, the pads and rotors still look good. Probably in anothe 8-10K miles I'll replace pads and rotors.
The point is, if the duralast gold pads ate your rotors in such a short period of time, then there's a problem. Most likely its the calipers not fully releasing. When you replace the pads again change all the hardware, no matter how good it looks. It's not really that expensive. You might even consider replacing the calipers.
