need help to be fast...
hi, i am from germany and new to the forum here.
i`ve got a 94 ram2500 with 5.9 cummins twinturbo
i`ve a question, here in germany hardly nobody knows something about these engines.
i have got piers towing twins in my ram. it means a hx35 and a big brother turbo.
i`d like to know how i can get the maximum racing and street performance from my engine.
someone told me that i should change the hx35 into a s300 charger.
the big brother should be "strong" enough.
the hardware of my cummins 5.9 is modified
it has got 12 arp studs, asymetrical connecting rod`s, spring kit,dtt transmission, full manual valvebody, edge racing workhouse coverter, billet gearbox input shaft and many more.
I would appreciate if you could help me and tell me what I can do to get the maximum performance out of my ram.
to increase the boost preassure would maybe help, but how?
or should i change the little 35 into an s300?
i would be happy about help.
sorry for my english, i`d try to improve my englisch
greetings from germany
tim

boost preassure is 45 psi at the moment. exhaust temps are not my problem right now....about 1100 up to 1300...i heard it will be critical at 1600
the stats about the big brother are following
Big Brother-1900cfm 87 introducer
my top turbo is a hx35 at the moment, is he to small to spool the big bro up!?

Definantly need bigger injectors..... depending on if you tow alot that is.. as for your "big fuel pump"
what do you mean by that? have you had any work done the the injection pump? DVs, gov spring kit, AFC mods, mack plug... ? sounds like you have a built tranny so all thats left is MORE FUEL!!!!

but.... if you throw in some 191 or even some laser cut delivery valves you will definintly feel a difference
i would also upgrade to some clean and larger injectors, a popular brand would be ddps probably go with the ddp3 or ddp4s. Also if you havent played with the AFC housing or done a fuel plate... your missing alot of fine tune adjustments and an increase in fuel.jason
If you are running an 87mm turbo, you may as well skip the 140hp injectors and look at some competition sized injectors. HX35 and an 87mm turbo is a huge spread. 64 or 66mm turbo would be more appropriate, as said. I wouldn't go for laser cut DV's unless you like smoke. They are dirty on a bigger pump. Whats your timing at? Something in the 22 range would probably perk it up nicely.
