Hi everyone got a good one for ya,I bought AVIC-N1 Pioneer stereo-navigation unit.The unit also has vehicle dynamic's which shows your speed,g-forces & volts.Ever since I've had it installed my DDUFM comp. is surging at the higher rpm at least that's where you notice it the most.When I shut the comp. off the truck is back to normal no surging.First thing I did was to un-hook the speed sensor wire and didn't make a difference.Then I checked to see if they hooked power source into the comp anywhere and not that I could see.The system also gives a hissing noise through the speakers with stereo on or off,but turn the lights on and the hissing goes away totally.Has anyone ever had this problem or any idea's what it could be.Thank's Mark.........(Oh buy the way taking it back to the installer is not a option they made a frickin mess)

 

Just a wild guess, but was the new system grounded properly?

Do you have the installation instructions, and wiring diagrams? If you do, and can disconnect one feature or input at a time it might show where the problem is comming from.

You might look for troublshooting if there is a web site for the unit.
