My New Scotty Air II is here!
Re:My New Scotty Air II is here!
My engine sucks CoooOoOoOoooOOOOOOooooL AIR and it looks COoOooOOOOOOoOoOoOoL with the frosty pearl white engine parts.

Of course I have the cowl hole open and I have a bias towards this system that does deliver the best EGT reduction and air flow. ;D

Re:My New Scotty Air II is here!
Maximum egt reduction with just the fender inlet compared to stock...200F
Average 150F
With the cowl hole [and power like yours and higher] I have netted 350F reduction. Reports of 300-350F are common with both inlets.
Take the price of a four inch exhaust and the price of a Scotty II and you get a heck of lot more bang for the buck with the Scotty.
Of course a 4" exhaust will assist in getting rid of the exaust better then a 3" and will net 50F reduction too.
Re:My New Scotty Air II is here!
With my modifications I see 600-700 at cruise...not a lot different then stock...under load and with modifications is where this system shines. Cruise temps are not as critical as they are well within the safe margin for egt's.

As for 4" exhaust and the scotty II...the 350F is with that combo.
Most folks over 350 HP have already gone to 4" exhaust to get the benefit of clearing the exhaust more easily...and of course then once you are in that range then the turbo comes into play and its limits etc etc.

For folks with no power mods or very little that do not tow...the BHAF or similar will suffice for their demand.
Higher the power and higher the weight towed...the more the Scotty II shines.
Re:My New Scotty Air II is here!
Just installed my Scotty Air II as well. Had to move my air compressors C/B from up on the cowl to the fender, was an easy move. Popped out my turbos silencer ring too. Now she sings to me. I had a good laugh when I saw how big that air filter really is!
too soon to tell about any gains yet.
Such a neat lookin filter housing! First mod of many to more to come!
