ok guys I need some advice here. Need to replace the muffler on my truck, can I replace only the muffler? If so what muffler do people recommend? I want the truck to sound good, but I can't lose any low end torque, since I tow a lot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. You can just replace the muffler. A srtaight through type will give you the best flow. You could also just replace the muffler with a piece of pipe and listen to the music. If you do tow a lot, why not go to a 4" complete system (other than cost)? You should see a little lower EGT with a 4" system, as well as quicker turbo spool-up.

Try RPMoutlet.com they have a very cool 4"turbo dual exhaust for under $400. i put it on my Cummins and it looks great and sounds even better.

hey I like the way it sounds without it right now! Just that my neighbors won't like it at 5am in the dead of winter listening to it warm up for twenty minutes!!!
