Much Input Needed Guys

Ive got a few questions

I just got an EZ and will be adding injectors, which ones, I dont know.
Choices.(cant afford F1)

275's
Jammer II nozzles
Jammer III nozzles

Dont tow much at all. But dont want to be upgrading a clutch later either.
Im not worried about EGT's, I can keep my right foot out of it( who am I kidding). Maybe 14cm housing later.

Any help is appreciated

Ive been reading searches for way too long. Need some more input.

P.S. Is there any way to run an incab on/off switch to the EZ without it being a COMP.

Thanks in Advance
Jamie

I would go 4's or 5's. I like my fours but almost wish i had went fives. As for temps, with the stock waste gate I could hold 18 psi and be at 900 (post turbo, translates to between 1200 and 1400 pre-turbo). After blocking the waste gate it will go to 34 psi then stablizes at 32. I have not be able to get it above 700 degrees (post, translates to 1000 to 1200 pre). These are reading from hills with a full tank. With the truck on flat ground empty I ran out of RPM before the pyro would get above 850.

I was concerned about temps when I bought them but figured my foot could control the temps. I have been plesently suprised. I did several mods at once (gears, injectors, and fuel sys) and gained .5 - 1 mpg. Since the VA and blocking the gate I have seen little if any change.

Question

Randy, do you have visable smoke at idle? I'm trying to make up my mind and since I have to go through inspection, I can't have smoke with the box off.

thanks
I know the stock clutch wont hold 4's or 5's. I really leaning towards the III's. When I do tow its pretty heavy Ill just have to take it easy. I do plan on upgrading the clutch WAY LATER. I just want to be able to outrun the majority of normal drivers on the road when I want.

thanks in advance

natlchamp2k4;
If you can back off for the EGT you should be able to back off for the clutch. Our 97 will slip, we just try to be sure to let it hook-up good in 4 and 5 gear. There are some cheaper options on clutchs. Mine cost $260, and is a Luc. It holds great with my current setup. No issues what so ever. It was a 05-092HD through our distributor. It was 1/4" larger disc and 4200# of clamp pressure. I'll try to get more info on it. It was "RATED" for 100# higher torque then stock.

Clunk;
No smoke with or without the VA at idle. Occasionally on start-up. I did my emmisions test the day I took it in for the VP change (before hand). Personally, I think they botched the test. It had a .5 opacity reading at 50MPH. The year prior (old injectors) it was 5-6%. I don't remember the exact number. I can make it smoke black if I lug it hard or haze on the high side. Once in a while it will cloud good at high rpm/power. But not black.

thanks Randy

Im really leaning towards the III's and just hoping the clutch will last a while. If I have to tow Ill just take it really easy.

Thanks Again,
Jamie

I have the Jammer II nozzles and an EZ and couldn't be happier. I do have the ability to slip my stock clutch if I am hard on the pedal in 5th or 6th unloaded. I tow around 8000lbs on a regular basis and don't have issues if I drive normally. Again, if I mash the pedal with a trailer it will slip. I don't think you will go wrong with any EDM injector... some are just way overpriced. My 2cents, Eric
