Mounting 7" stacks

I was bored looking for a more secure way of mounting my stacks. When i had 5" i just ran a 5" muffler clamp through the bulkhead and secured them. Well now i have 7's since some not so nice guy stole the others, and most likely put them on his s-10.

I had originally just welded up some angle iron between the Y-pipe and the bed but with all the flex and movement from not having them secured higher up it keeps breaking

No one makes a 7" muffler clamp that i could find but i found these that look like they may be even better. Let me know what you think or if there is a better/cheaper alternative.

I used a pair of flat 7" inch band clamps I order from my local trucking depot.

Any chance of getting a pic. I was thinking about that but it doesn't seem like there would be alot of surface area attaching to the truck leaving potential for rattles. The drone is bad enough since I'm too cheap to fix my A/C.

Trust me that would be the ideal, but the Meth kit just broke the bank and was looking for something "close" in quality but a bit cheaper. That and the fact that I run a tool box and plates to cover the stacks from the top of the bed down. I'd never get to show off the bling.

I would try the one you linked at the top....that's about the best one I have seen next to the billet clamp. and for 50 bucks I bet it works great...I think grand rock wants about $100-150 for their 7" clamps and I have heard a ton of guys break the GR ones....

Well i found some at Chrome Depot for 21.00 a pop. For a 100.00 savings i figure they are worth a shot. Plus they are local so i can play tonight...YAY.

If they fail ill give Mannwelder some buisness. Maybe that will give me an excuse to go to a single. Thanks for the input.
