Welcome to the DTR, 01. Have you upgraded your air intake, exaust, or fuel pump? (I don't know what all the power pack includes)

I do not know if you can stack with the Banks stuff, there is not too much reading about them here. If you can, you can stack another programmer with it, get water/meth injection, (probably would want to do head studs with that), aftermarket turbo/twins, NOS, Propane, all kinds of stuff. What are your goals, and how much $$ are you looking for?

I'll be honest, a lot of guys around here are not big Banks fans. They are a good company, and their products are safe and well tested, but you can get a lot more bang for your buck with other things. (as I'm told)

If you go with much more power your clutch may not like you very much.

But at the same time, some have better luck with the stock clutches than others. Driving styles seem to have a lot to do with it, IMHO.

I would say a Smarty on even settings, or a set of injectors. And be prepared to replace a clutch. If funds allow, do them together.

I'd definatly put the $$ into the supporting mods first. That way, your truck is ready for the power. There are some really good clutch kits out there, someone else will help you out with that one, as I have a slushbox.

You can stack a Smarty with Banks on the even numbered settings.

As far as clutches, Southbend is by far the biggest name in high performance diesel clutches. But Valair is a smaller company in Texas that has been around a while, and recently got into this market. I have heard much good about their products, and will be getting one of their clutches in the next few months.

I have a valair clutch and love it. It is pretty grabby, if I have a load, no second gear starts for me. 2nd gear=chattery.
