Stainless steel braided is overkill, but nice stuff if you're willing to spend a lot of cash on your fp gauge setup.

I did mine on a budget, around $40-50 total for gauge, fuel line, needle valves, and fittings. Nylon lined fuel hose or copper tubing would be more than sufficient for a 16 psi application.

Y'all try to remember the point of the isolator ~ to prevent the flow of fuel into the passenger compartment in the event of a component failure. That which could very well occur in a catastrophic failure such as a vehicle crash. They are required in most sanctioned racing events.

Your fuel pressure gage is busted, the electric fuel pump is still running, that fancy 2000psi braided hose is intact and flowing fuel into the cab. You're unconscious, hanging from the seatbelt (yeah, right) in an over-turned truck.

Rubber-neckers are slowly driving by, flicking cigarette butts out along the way.

Anybody got a light?
