What do you guys think of this? I was thinking since it is only covering a bit of the filter, why not stacking them to the full length of the filter. But also, how much airflow does the oil filter get? If there is alot of airflow over it then It should work alright I guess.

These coolers are nearly useless on any engine. The surface area of the fins is not enough to have much of an effect and the contact area on the filter can is not large enough to transfer what little heat the fins can dissipate. On the Cummins (or any other pickup truck diesel, for that matter) they are totally worthless. The engine already has an oil cooler, it's an oil to water unit built into the filter mount. The engine oil stays within a few degrees of the coolant temp at all times.
