Does anyone know what the max boost (in psi) is on
the new HO CTD ? I've looked in serveral places but
ca not find any thing on the subject.

On the 02's I now that between 48 and 52psi you can pop the head gasket, I would think that the 03's would be about the same. Mike

From our rwork we have found the max boost of the 03 HO to be around 25-26psi stock.

Rods truck would touch 26 psi on his boost gauge.

My lil truck was doing over double that...of course that was past the factory specs by a lil bit.

Next truck should be up there too.

I also have read of a few 3rd gens running over 50 lbs of boost and the head gasket is holding.

The head on my truck comes off after the break in.

I won't add the power til I do the first 500 miles as suggested, then dump the oil, run another 1500 miles on mineral, dump then BOMB. ;D

 

Whimp my 02 got the EZ plugged in at the dealers parking lot before I left.
