map sensor on switch
Never tried it, but shouldn't be that hard at all. The hardest part would be fishing the wires throught the fire wall. Should be able to just cut one of the wires, splice two leads to it, pull them into the cab, and mount the switch where ever you want.
DT, why do you say it's not good for the engine??? I've never seen any ill effects from it, & seems to me it's about the same as adjusting the starwheel on the 12-v motors???? just curious??? not flaming, I was just wondering if you knew of problems that I hadn't heard about yet, thanks, Dusty
I've thought about doing this, but I still haven't figured out if you are going to need 2 switches or just one. There are two wires that go to the map sensor and when you unplug the map sensor you are unplugging both of the wires. I guess the only way to find out is to cut one of the wires and if that wire doesnt work, hook it back up and cut the other one and if that doesn't work then you'll that you have to have both wires on a switch.

theres a guy on www.cumminsforum.com that just cut a wire near the comp and wired it to one switch. I am trying to get the info on it. I will post it if I can find out how he did it.
I believe I read that it was not to good to run with the map unplugged. But I cannot say why. I may be wrong on this one. I think I was confused, and thinking of something else.
Or maybe just that it is bad to run with the MAP unplugged on a stock engine.
