Smile Many thanks to Goerend Transmisson

I just got my truck back from the tranny shop with the new Goerend tripple disc torque converter and high pressure valve body. The difference is simply amazing!!! I wonder why the trucks don't come from Dodge already set up like this!! Many thanks to Dave and the rest of the good folks at Goerend transmission for there help and patience with my questions and to Brandon, my transmission man at D & M automotive here in Hayes, Va.

How long did it take for him to get the parts to your tranny shop? I'm more curious than anything because I'll probably use him whenever the time comes, just would like to know about long the truck will be down.

i think it depends on how you want him to ship it..... when i ordered my tranny i ordered it all and it came truck freight in 3 days IIRC.....

EDIT : i know what you mean when you say it's amazing...... just imagine going from a tranny that wouldn't hold OD without shuddering or slipping or wanting to rev to 3K and not change rmp when it shifts.....to a piece of art that shifts firm, crisp, everytime.... you can accually feel the truck working now instead of feeling the converter slip all the time....

I also just put in my goerend triple disk TC and VB and couldnt be happier with it, absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! and they are great people to deal with, if you can get ahold of them but the wait is well worth it. The new jammers are pretty sweet too.

It took about 4 days to get the parts from Goerend UPS. I dropped my truck of at the tranny shop Monday AM, with all of the "new and improved" parts and had the truck back Friday around 2:00. I also had them replace the input shaft as per Goerends suggestion. The shaft took a day and a half to get to the tranny shop. My mechanics were pretty busy so I didn't mind the wait, I have used this shop for years, I know the owner, and trust him, he even goes to my church!! As far as the upgrade, I could not be happer. The truck performs just as Dave Goerend said it would. Finally, the torque is where it should be, as the tach rises so does the speed unlike before when the engine would be revin' and the speed slowly increases. Now just a light touch on the throttle and you are GONE!! Just amazing the difference.....
