Mach 7's ?!?!

I was just looking on Don's website and saw the Mach 7 injectors. And I was wondering, consider you had a completley stock 02 3500 H.O. what supporting mods would you have to do to be able to run those 7's? I don't plan on using them, but for reference I would really like a complete list of supporting mods if anyone knows.

You'd need larger twins for enough air (n2o would help too), a healthy IP, a way to keep the fuel pressure supplied for the IP, headwork - orings or firerings (or just studs like Tim ), a transmission to hold the power, a nice fueling box or 2 and an good plastic surgeon to remove the permanent grin.

If you wanted to run them on a ETH you would need a hotrod vp44 as well. No way a 028 HO pump can move enough fuel for 7s. Tim

Driving everyday The 7s smoke about the same as 6s. When I turned up the comp up though it smoked hard. Everyday driving smoke is controlable with twins, just hope your injection pump is up to the 7s. Tim

Not just the pump, but the supporting system wrapped around them or you will just drop off in power over a Mach 6. You need a cam, a ported head and a fresh pump with little to no cam ring wear that will still deliver the fuel these things need. Of course if you have some nitrous...those requirements go away.

They will run on a properly designed single charger, but you cant drive them around and not expect some smoke.

So your saying that if you've got 150k miles on the original injection pump that it's probably not gonna support these injectors. What kind of power have you seen out of these injectors? EGT's?

It's fun to dream, isn't it?

Personally, Mach 3.5s are my injector limit.
