Mach 4 Idle Haze????
For the guys that are running Mach 4's, do you guys have a haze while idling? My truck idles rich with a slight blue haze. Even when I hammer on it it's slight blue smoke then black. This only started since I installed the Mach 4's. The truck runs amazing and goes like "Jack The Bear" thanks to these injectors. Any one else run into this. Kinda seems like they are passing a little oil with rich fuel at an idle.
For this size injector, a slight haze in cold temps is normal. But it should be white, not blue.
What's the engine's oil consumption rate? Mine doesn't seem to use a single drop between changes. My haze is white.
With injectors this big, I'd avoid prolonged idling. Short periods are fine, but don't let it idle for a long time (like an hour or what have you) in cold temps. Your engine needs heat to burn these things cleanly, and it's hard to do in winter temps.
Idling this time of year, my EGTs will fall to 250, which is far too cold for proper operation of the engine. If you can't keep heat in it, shut it down and re-start later.
Shoot, I have my radiator completely blocked off (with heavy AL foil) and I also have the CAC/Condenser blocked off too and STILL can barely get my truck up to 190. But on the hwy it will hold 190 and stay there, instead of constantly moving up and down with the t-stat.

My 6.5s have a very slight haze when cold outside (ya cold is below 40 for me!
)... Haze goes away once the truck is up to temp, but even leaving the truck running when cold at a fuel stop the haze will start again as the truck cools. Nature of big sticks.... The Machs are much cleaner than allot of other sticks I have seen at idle! (ie large DDPs, Dragon Flows, Jammers, etc...)
