installing adrenaline

Hey, did a search through the forums but didn't read about the install of an adrenaline - what it takes and how long.

I'm considering getting an adrenaline for my stock truck (minus exhaust) and want to know what the install entails. I've got a post-turbo Pyro, I wouldn't mind installing the sensor pre-turbo for the module (or does it require post turbo?). I'm guessing in addition to my 4-inch exhaust, I'll need to install an intake to maximize the power of this box? The power numbers are not with stock injectors are they?

thanks for any help!

So, I found the install directions but not much regarding the power numbers (I know what they are but now what is made from a stock setup).

It hooks up just like a Comp does (data link, MAP, VP tap, and power wire), in addition to a few more connections for the gauges you want to use... EGT, BOOST, TRANS, and FP.

Its a fairly simple instal. Also you dont have to hook up any of the guages unless you want to. You could do pre or post turbo for your egt's with it. Also you might wanna look into a clutch if you get the adrenaline!

I had found and read the install instructions right after posting this and then edited my post, but I still haven't found any answers on the webs to if those numbers were created on a truck with stock intake, exhaust, injectors or turbo? Those numbers are insanely high for any of the stock components afore mentioned to be on the test rig! What were the specs for the test rig?

Darren, Quad has not yet made the "production tune" so numbers are meaningless right now. Other members have proven that this box is at least equal to the Edge Drag Comp, and other members have proven that this box will make more power than the legendary TST Smarty stack.

Redline boxes claim to make 180 HP, The TST comp claims to make 180 Hp. So the adrenaline pre release claim of 165 HP is right in there and not too lofty in my opinion. I'll bet that on the right settings, with a 99-01 5spd with a fresh Stock VP-44 and a new lift pump and filters, and at sea level, etc etc, the adrenaline could coax 195 rwhp out of an otherwise stock truck except for a blocked wastegate of course so that air was available for power.
