Lowering EGTS

would removing the muffler and putting a pipe in place of it with the factory system be good enuff to cut the egts down on the pyro? i dont want loud like most do i want lower egts i pull a horse trailer about 90% of the time and stock i would be around 1050 on my pyro with the hammer down goin up a hill with the trailer and running around town i usally see any were from 800-900 before the turbo. My truck is running fine too no issue with fuel pressure or any of that junk and hte intercooler is clear since fixing the breather bottle problem i thinking my muffler could be starting to plug or somthing. I am thinking also about leavin the resonater on too. i plan on doing the mbrp system but as of now my funds are cut from remodling the house and just getting my va aaken. thanks

A stock strait pipe is gonna be loud pulling a horse trailer, so i would just wait to get a full exhaust when you can, it's just gonna cost you more money down the road strait piping it and then getting a full exhaust later.
