yeah, I saw those, but I really liked the look of those projectors with with the Halo rings in them too. But I don't wanna get something that isn't as good or much better than stock either, and I don't wanna have to fight to adjust them.
Haloman, is that the same company you bought yours from? I'm beginning to wonder if its the same company that makes all of these lights and if its just different vendors selling them. Every one of the 3 different styles on ebay look the same.

Different Vendors same manufacturer As far as I can tell. Acekogyo is who I bought mine from. I've heard that the halo ring can go out and its not replaceable. I didn't want anything to go out on mine that I couldn't replace in a autozone parking lot IMHO. I do agree that the Halo ring ones look very awesome. But I enjoy mine very much.

yeah, I'm really starting to lean towards yours, but with the black housing. I'm so sick of fixing something on my truck every other weekend, no sense in adding more complexity to it

I installed the stock PIAA bulbs from Summit. Just got back from a West texas trip with a lot of night time driving in very dark conditions. The PIAA are great! No problem with alignment. The high beams are brilliant. Best yet, no aftermaket harness. They were $80 or so. The installation of these is a pain, due to limited space. You will lose a little skin. Some WD40 helps with harness that have not been touched and are hard to get off.
I bought some of the Sylvania Siverstar Ultras for my other vehicles. They are suppose to be just as bright for substantially less.
Pep boys have them on sale sometimes, for about $25/pair, with rebate. they too are same watts.
A little more money, great results, no harness!!!

Just think how much better it could be with the harness.

i am running the piaa bulbs, everything else is stock. i too noticed a difference with the piaa's, especially on high beams.
i got some clear/chrome one-piece housing under the xmas tree along with the hd harness!
i can't wait to install them both. i think i will put a stock bulb back in one side and take pics at various stages of the installation for comparisons. give me time though as i have little time to do this right now - but it will get done sooner than later!

I finally had a chance to test the new harness on my existing Silverstars (non-Ultra). I have to say, it seemed a bit brighter, but the pattern the light casts from the stock housings just sucks so bad it's pathetic. No harness could overcome that although i was beginning to believe it could.

It's like a wide, but thin line of light across the road in front of the truck. I would have to hope that new housings would fix this as they would cast a different beam pattern, hopefully deeper so it shows the road better right in front of the truck as well as filling in all the dark stuff the stock housings don't.

I'd be SUPER interested in pics of the lights in a new housing on one side and the stock housing on the other. Up against a garage door and maybe a shot looking back at the truck from a distance before I throw another $125+ quid at this darn problem.

i will get pics up when i can

for those buying new bulbs - go to daniel sterns page:
http://www.danielsternlighting.com/home.html
read the tech section on bulbs:
http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...lbs/bulbs.html
i wish i would have read this before i bought my piaa lights. so i guess that means the praise i gave my piaa lights is all bs. but they sure do "seem" better, although after reading that article, i guess they are really not better than stock at all.
my next set of lights will probably be ge nighthawks as they are the only ones readily available at auto stores (as far as i know) out of the bulbs recommended on the site.

hope this helps!

also, the hd harness and sport light conversion harness are both available in the products section.

Well, I decided to email Flosser about the bulbs. And believe it or not they replied back.
Here is what they said.

"Dear Mr. G,

thank you for your e mail concerning the 9104 bulb. Please be informed that we represent Flosser Germany in the US.

We are not aware of any problems with the 9104 bulb - in fact we never had any return from US customers here.

If you like, you can return these to our US warehouse in Chicago and we would send you replacement free of charge and we could also look further into this problem. Please advise so we can give you a return number.

Also, could you please give us the web address of the Dodge Truck forum? Thank you

best regards

WELL PEOPLE, call them and send the bad ones back. I also gave him the thread to read through it.

Does anyone have pictures of the black ACEKOGYO replacements or even tried them? I have a black truck and I think they would look pretty nice compared to the foggy translucent stock ones.

Think they would function as well as the chrome version? Just trying to find a solution...I'm glad I didnt drop money on silverstars

Silverstars are still a good upgrade. It was the FLOSSER bulbs we were having problems with but it looks like the company is giving out refunds/exchanges for those. See above post by DieselMan2300.
