Just instaled a #10 plate 3k gsk and boost elbow, NO extra power

As i said i just installed all these mods last night and i think they all went on well but when i was driving my truck home it had no extra power. im thinking that i screwed up the boost line going to the afc and its defueling. Just seeing what you guys have to say
also it idles at 1k rpms so i need to turn down the idle screw but im not sure were it is and i broke the vacuum line going to what appears to be the cruise control, doenst seem like that would mess things up but i am fixing it today we'll see if it helps
Thanks for the help
btw im putting on gauges today so thats under control

yeah if you screwed up the line from the manifold then you would have no power you'll be driving in valet mode.

also you did the gsk and it appears you did not set the proper stud protrusion with the viner calipers should be at 50 thousandths, sounds like yours are way to tight and theres to much tension on the idle spring causing it to idle to high

My protrusion was .045, I believe they can vary from pump to pump. More than likely you just messed up that line going to the AFC and your in valet mode, its not a big deal and if you have any hose the right size just replace it and give yourself a few inches of slack...

thanks for the info i didn't get around to replacing that line today i did do a little spit test to see if it was leaking didn't appear to be at either of the fittings but it could be somewhere in between, ill definitely replace it tomorrow any chance its the froward/back positioning of the afc that could be causing this?
i did get the gauges put on and seams to be making about 3to 6 psi of boost when im cruising around 45 is that pretty normal and the max i hit was 20 even with the boost elbow i assume this will go up when the afc gets working right just running it by you guys

I can hit 35 psi at 2500 rpm's, maybe even go over but I don't want to...

Make sure that the afc housing is slid forward. You can also ajust the star wheel to get more pre boost fuel.

I would also say the AFC housing position needs to be checked. Also when you install it, make sure it isn't tight up against the plate. Makes the AFC really jerky or stick in the valet mode.
