All I can say is WOW What a difference When the started to remove my tranny they asked me who worked on it last. I said I don't know. Guess sometime it was replaced with a 2000 model. They could tell by just looking at it What experts know amaze me 8) Well bill said this is one of the best '99 he has done. It shifts very violent he said and yes it does ;D For just stage 1 injectors and an EZ. It will chirp the tires going into second gear ;D I love this Tranny 8) His crew is top notch and was very helpful with all of the questions I asked. He showed me a lot of stuff about converters, I like his the best ;D If you need a Tranny upgrade give DTT a call.

 

Glad to see you're happy with the new toy! So what are the shift points like? Does it hold 3rd gear to 3000+ like Jamie's? What setup did you get?<br><br>Russ

I got the 89% H converter with the billet input shaft ;D I went with a whole tranny because of the unknown condition of my old one. The shift points are set just right. It will shift at almost 3000 rpm's ;D You got to love a DTT Transmission 8)

Newbie here...you said you went with the 'whole tranny'. Does that mean I could have mine just upgraded and it would be as good as their new one? For quite a bit cheaper too? I know engines pretty good, but transmissions baffle me.

 

man i have to get one!!! this is a must!!!! my buddy just got one for his 95 and its awesome!! everytime it shifts ur head flys back i love that!!! its not even close to what it once was!! im going to have to make an appointment with the bank to drown myself into more debt!! ;D its a must if ur even thinking about doing anything with ur CTD its the first thing besides gauges u should do!! all i can say is its UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been playing with mine left a nice 200' patch of rubber with all 4 wheels the other night. Smoked a newer vette the other day around a 98. Mine pulls so hard in first then slams second and pulls so hard again. I hit 40 PSi of boost with my pdr40 as soon as I shift second. By the time my truck shifts in to od from 3rd gear I am runnig 70 MPH at WOT. I usually back out of it before OD because I am already going to fast. Im actully liking how my truck holds 3rd it seems to make it faster in a shorter distance. <br><br>Hey Mr. so do you notice the increased lag off the line or rolling into the throttle on the hwy? I have noticed you have to be alot lighter on the go peddle under low boost to keep the smoke down.
