Just got back from DTT

Well folks just got back from DTT and I'm all ;D ;D ;D

Had a 89% torque converter installed with a DTT race valve body. Master kit with billet input shaft installed, and the accumulator and sero installed along with the 4.4 lever. I must say my truck feels like its got about another 50 HP and acceleration is absolutely incredible! I cannot believe the difference its like night and day over the other two I had done. The setup is perfect and although it won't peel the tires on the 1-2 shift I am very impressed with the launch! I took it up to 10 PSI with my builder mike next to me and let it hang out and my daulie let it hang out alright! All 4 wheels from one side to the other on the road through 1st I thought ok thats it now its gonna pull off in second nope peels through second to then hooks in third I was so shocked at this I couldn't speak. I am totally amazed with the performance and it truly exceeds my expectations.

Re:Just got back from DTT

OK,,,,,,,,
Lets start sending Jamie info on where he can get the best buys on tires about every 3 months. I have taken a few rides in trucks that have had the trannys improved (and.... NO,,, I'm not mentioning any names) : and it is unreal how sloppy and sluggish my stocker feels when shifting. It's a shame that they couldn't have come from the factory with a little better set-up.
Glad to hear that you are pleased with the results Jamie. ;D

Re:Just got back from DTT

Is the lag any worse? Since you got the 89% TC, if it is noticeable it shouldn't be that much more then you had before. Just curious what you think?

Re:Just got back from DTT

yesterday, i had to drive my truck, in COMPLETLY stock mode..... :'( well long story short, it did chirp the tires in stock mode.

I think the weight of the truck might have something to do with it, mine is extreamly light compaired to yours.

You will learn to redrive the truck with the new tranny Jamie, but you'll love EVERY second of it, i do.

Andrew

I just come off the line with light throttle and once I hit say 3 PSI mash it and its gone like a rocket which is very fine with me cause stomping it off the line creates a nice smoke cloud anyways. All around my house street are huge black burnouts a nice pattern of 4 LOL!
Oh by the way my father and I raced last night and its all over for his duramax with the hot box.
On a site note Im sure some of you remember my questions about the PDR 40 spooling and what amount of boost was right for me. Well not 1st is like 30 psi as soon as its hits 2 its 40 and pegged for the rest of the run!
