Interior time

I just put an order in for the mtx sub box for under the rear seat. Does anyone on here have one of these, and are they any good? Next I am getting new carpet and dynamating the whole interior. I would also like to get leather seats, what is the best place to get them? TIA

Im about ready for leather, too. Im planning on doing the covers that take the place of the factory fabric. I havent found the best place to get them yet.

The MTX box isn't to bad, it puts out some pretty decent sound and definetely looks better than a big ol' ugly box sitting on your back seat. As long as your not looking for brain bashing bass you should be pretty happy with it.

i went with 2 individual sealed boxes for my subs.. i have 2 JL W3 10" subs under the back seat.. one on each side of the back seat and the amp in the middle,.. instead of the subs facing up to the seat they face out towards the front seats.. so i get a bit more bass because it isnt muffled sound and gets to use the open air of the cab

Sounds like mine. I've got my subs facing towards the front seats and they hit nice and hard. Custom built to fit 2 12's.

The thunderform is a good box that will sound great if you do a few things to it. First get rid of the 8ohm subs that come with it and put in 4ohm subs. There aren't vary many subs that will fit in it due to the lack of depth the box has but even the same MTX subs will be fine in a 4 ohm configuration, that way you can run your amp at 2ohms vs 4ohms (more power). Then get a mono sub amp that puts out atleast 500watts rms at 2ohms. I really like the MTX sub amps they put out plenty of power and you can get them pretty cheap on ebay. Granted none of this is going to win you an SPL prize but it will pound pretty hard.

Sub box

I was also looking at the sub box that goes in place of the center seat. What box is better, or should I just get both? TIA,

Paul

And whats the price on that??? Yikes, I dont even want to know. I believe there is a guy that makes virtually the same thing and sells it on e-bay for a fraction of the cost.

I just did a search on ebay for it but I couldn't find it and I'm pretty sure I deleted the emails I got from him when I was looking to buy one but I'll look through my emails and see if I still have it. He might have stopped making them or just doesn't have any on ebay right now.
