You don't think I am smart enough to make an adjustment on my reccomendation to make up for the weight difference? besides, my K5 only weighs about 1,300lbs less than my Ram

What makes the biggest difference is where you are driving. A Dodge CTD will make a set of SSR's last much longer than my K5 ever could if all the CTD saw was freeway miles. I live deep out in farm country with older rocky asphalt that eats soft Interco type rubber, and still got a decent amount of mileage out of my SSR's.

I hear SSR's are the only tires of Interco that last. My Truxus' have about 30k but would not recommend them unless you like no traction and a cracked dash from the harsh ride. Mine are the bias ply so maybe the radials are a bit different.

Yeah bias ply suck....that's where you are getting the nasty ride and the poor tread life!! The radials are actually pretty smooth in the Trxus tires. I'm surprised you even got 30K out of a bias ply tire......that's actually REALLY good!

I have had pretty good luck out of all the swampers i have run on my truck. I actually got around 30,000 out of a set of 35" Tsl Bias Ply, i have even got 22,000 miles out of a set of boggers. Now i did rotate every 3,000 miles and had them pad balanced and rebalanced every 5,000 miles and this is freeway, and country road driving. I have ran about every swamper between all the trucks i have and i would have to say the SSR is the best tire for the road, but if you only want to run for a couple of winters i would suggest you try the TSL, i have always had pretty good luck with them.

DONT GET BIAS PLY!! i have a set of 38.5x16x16.5 Mickey thompson baja claws in bias on my rig now, and its eating them alive. i have 20k on them, and it hates asphault. i am getting a set of SSR's next. the radial claws i was looking to get were alot more, and ive heard they chop and wear just as bad on the road as a bias claw does. so read up and asked around, and all of my buddies that are running them, love the ssr's. BTW, interco is making a new 54" bogger , i wonder how they would wear under my rig .

you cant be comparing tread life of these to a A/T and say they wear poorly because they didnt last as long. M/Ts wont last as long as A/Ts and thats to be expected. I had a set of the trxus m/ts on my jeep and they wore a little quicker then expected but i love the tire.
