Anyone us Interco Tires????

Anyone use this tire:

http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...1&autoview=sku

I am looking at the 255/85/16's

I currently run Les Schwab's 285/75/16's Wild Cat's AT's. They where on the truck when I purchased them but do not like them in the snow or ice.

Thanks....

Theres been some talk about this tire in the past..... Yes, its E rated - but, if you drive any pavement its going to wear fast.

noise??

Loud, as compared to my 12 valve??

Here is the tire I am running from Schwab:

http://www.lesschwab.com/tires/light...ildcat_at.html

The are quite but not much bit in the snow and ice...

So any suggestions on a good biting tire with good ride quality and last over a year??? Is there such a thing??

Here is Interco's site with their description of the tire....
http://www.intercotire.com/site35.php
They say it is quite???

Thanks.....

Dave

Had a set on a gas chevy. Lasted just over 10k. Worst tire I've ever owned. There not even that great in the mud. Of course, the ones I had were bigger, 285's, than what you are looking at but I personally felt like I wasted my money.

I had these in 33" and loved the tires. They were great in snow, mud and road manners. Now the BUT, they only lasted 30,000 and were bald when I changed them.

i love them and know quite a other few people that have them too. quiet for how agressive they are the work awsome in the snow and better than most other mud terrains in mud. For wear I have seen the go anywhere from 25k 40k+ depending on the vehical and use

I ran this tire on a 98 dodge gasser in a 235/85R16. This tire was a mud MONSTER! I have never had a tire work so well in the mud. Not too loud for a mud tire and I liked the fact that it was siped for ice traction. Now the bad part, lasted less than 20K with normal rotation (3-4K) and tires on the front seemed to get choppy pretty quickly. Mind you this was on a 1/2 ton with a small block, imagine the difference on a 3/4 or 1 ton with a diesel! Anyway, great performance tire, but not good on pavement at all. Look at the Cooper Discovery ST-C, this tire was designed specifically for those who frequent gravel roads, and it should wear MUCH better than the TRXUS. just my experience and opinion.

Wish they made the Coopers in the bigger sizes, Truxxus is the only company I know of that makes a 34" or 35" in the load range E tires. The only reason they make em is for the rock crawlers.

they were not made for rock crawlers Their irock and SX series are built for crawin. They were designed to be a heavy duty on/off road tire that acually worked unlike bfg, goodyear, etc.etc
