Anyone us Interco Tires????
I ran SSR's on my 99 with great results. Did well on and off road for my needs. I wouldn't hesitate to go that route again.
BTW - rotated and balanced every 5k miles helped. I had over 30k on them with tread to spare when I got the new truck.

Tires
So I think I am going to go with the 235/85/16 TrXus MT/STS's. I want as skinny as I can get. My Les Schwab tires have 21,000 and do shiznity in snow. The perform so bad I have had to chain up this season in 4 wheel drive.
Why skinny?? I know they cut better through the snow but they will look mighty goofy
I've got the SSR's on my truck and absolutely love them....haven't drove it much in the snow but from what little I have they seem to work great. Tread is already siped for the slick roads and they ride extremely well.
Oh and mine are 15.50's so they are nice and wide and still no problems with them.

8" of lift, 38"X15.50"X16s Swamper SSR's
38"x 15.50 and 8" lift is good for the street crowd but will not do much in the snow......
My truck is for work, and nothing else.....
But thanks for the input......
I run the exact tire on my 1st gen. 255-85r16 and love them. I rotate at 4000 mile intervals or as close as can be. I am at 27,000 now and figure I will get at least 35,000 of useful tread wear. Very quiet for a mud tire, way better than the BFGs for rain wet roads, good in the snow and ice due to the siping and a good ride. I would buy them again for sure. I tow everynow and then and also have a slide in camper that is usually on when I am towing the quads or crawler. I drive 70 miles both ways per day of blacktop to work and back. probably don't need as aggresive of a tire but I like them when I need them. personally I like the skinny tires, drive much better than the 33x12.50s I had on there before.
Best I can tell with a combination square they are around 8/32-9/32 on average with a little deeper towards the outer edges. As you probably know a good alaignment and good front end parts are very important to treadlife. I always go with an alaignment when I get new tires. The tire shop I use will put it on the rack and check it for free if you are buying new tires.
I would definitly get the regular super smamper tsl radial over the trexxus I have had both and the tsl is much better. The SSR is a good one too-long wear. If you get the trexus You will see what im talking about the little wear-in pads on the center tread make the truck feel like it has 4 flats all over the road+ super quick wear on those too-almost as bad as a bogger.
btw. My 285-75 trexus tires took like 8 ozs of lead each to balence
where my 36-14.50 tsl radials only took 3 ozs...
