I want to build an intake tube before I purchase a new Amsoil BHAF. Basically, I want to use a 180* mandrel U-bend, modified for the proper angle, with a silicone coupler at the turbo, constant torque hose clamps all around, an Amsoil 4510 filter, and build a support that bolts to the fender to keep the filter from flopping. Has anyone else built their own intake tube? Twins guys speak up and give me some pointers. I have included pics of the cold air intake I made for my lightning to give you an idea of what I want to build. BTW, what is the inlet size of the turbo compressor and the Amsoil 4510?

 

4" is the opening on the turbo, and your run of the mill BHAF. No idea on the Amsoil filter though.

 

Any links to find 4"-4.5" steel adapters?
