Injectors
looking for advice,
i currently have an "01" CTD dually w/six speed. four inch exhaust, pyro and boost guages, pusher pump, HD clutch, stage II injectors(from Jannetty Racing) and an entry level Van Aiken power module. i have ordered the Edge Comp power module and am looking for a good match with the injectors. local CTD speed shop highly recommended stage four injectors. stated it would be a great match. not that i don't believe that statement but am looking for different options. what other brand injectors that are at that same performance level?

What you have now is not a bad match. Will work well. Depends on where you want to end up on HP, are you drag racing, towing or a daily driver, how much smoke are you willing to put up with before spoolup of turbo, etc. Tough to answer without a more specific question! Search will give LOTS of good info.

If you go with the Comp + Stage4's, you will soon be in the market for a bigger turbo. So keep that in mind, and spend your money wisely. It would really suck to spend all that money, and then burn up your turbo with all that heat, and have no money to buy another one.
I would suggest calling Rod @ Wildcat after you read all the responses from the "heavily fueled" guys around here.

The Stage 2's are going to a nice match to the Comp box, and it will be the limits of your stock turbo. I suggest leaving it at that unless you pland on spending alot more money for the next upgrade because the Stage 4 will require a bigger turbo.

this is just a toy. not a daily driver. i don't drag race either. just looking for more "get up and go".
as far as smoke...it doesn't phase me at all. i honestly like to see the expressions on the folks driving the convertible next to me when i hit the gas.
what kind of temps. are "normal" with this type set up(edge comp w stage two and with stage four).
another turbo is not in the planning for now. i would like to see the results with this current set up before next investment.

no way you could run stage 4 injectors with a comp turned up,on a stock turbo.its just gonna get way to hot,way to quick.youre gonna hurt something with that.stick with your two`s for a while,,with the comp.,itll have plenty of giddy-up..go ahead and save the rest of your money up and get a turbo when you get bigger injectors............as far as injectors going with a comp.,,doesnt matter,the box will work great no matter what inj.`s you have.....for example,i ran 275`s with my max comp,,and could run it on level 9 and get 1600* really quick.now with dd3`s,i can only run my comp on 4 to get the same temps and performance.getting fuel is relatively cheap,,now that air you gotta have to go with it,,that`ll cost ya..........................................bama

hey thanks for taking the time for the response. i am curious now because the dealer near me said that with the stage four inj. with the edge comp would be a great combo..

well,,youve got your piers,jr adkins 40`s,which would have their hands full with the box turned up(john p and banshee seem to really like theirs),then youve got jr`s baby 55 that alot of people are bragging on,,then you have your b-series turbos that rod and some more sells that have a good reputation.....think of it like this,,youve got a 12 inch ruler,,thats your powerband,,now you`ve got about 4 inches of where you want your turbo to shine....you decide where..you want quick spool up but a little hot on the top,,,or a little slower spool up,but a little cooler on top..every day driver,,stick with decent spoolup and drivability,,weekend warrior,,go a little bigger..............good luck,,,,,bama

Stage 4 injectors are hot running little devils, no matter whose Stage 4s you choose. You're going to need a fairly large turbocharger to run those on the street. We've got a couple Mach 4 guys out there, but they're running full B1s or a B1-2. With either charger, they're still getting pretty hot, pretty fast, but they do have some usuable power with the boxes turned all the way up.
Most other manufacturer's stage 4's are about equivalent to Mach 3's, at least in horsepower, so you'd probably be able to get away with something like a KSB1 or a 40/16. You'd still easily see 1500F on the pyrometer, however it would take a bit to get it there.
